Job Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations Management
- Handle end to end accounting functions, ensuring accurate and prompt processing of payables, receivables, and multi-currency expense tracking.
- Coordinate timely and accurate disbursement of staff claims and reimbursement processes.
2. Account Reconciliation and Ledger Oversight
- Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets register, including Right-of-Use assets, applying correct depreciation methods.
- Ensure precise record-keeping of inventory balances and movements.
3. Regulatory Compliance and Control Framework
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including on-time submission of GST/VAT filings and correspondence with tax bodies.
- Uphold internal financial controls and policies to manage compliance and reduce exposure to financial risks.
4. Financial Reporting and Performance Insights
- Prepare and post journal entries; develop financial reports, accounting schedules, and management statements with a high level of accuracy.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and custom reporting as required by business stakeholders.
- Perform cost evaluations to support strategic planning and operational cost-effectiveness.
5. Audit Support and Record Maintenance
- Develop comprehensive audit-ready documentation and schedules to support both internal and statutory audits.
6. Treasury Operations and Liquidity Monitoring
- Track daily cash flows, bank standings, and liquidity status.
- Create and manage short-term and long-term cash flow projections.
- Process treasury transactions, including funds transfers and foreign exchange operations.
- Communicate with banking partners regarding account services, funding solutions, and treasury tools.
7. Process Optimization and Cross-team Engagement
- Work closely with cross-departmental teams to optimize workflows and increase process efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including counterparts in China, to support uninterrupted operations.
- Actively identify, propose, and implement enhancements to finance processes in alignment with team objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in varied accounting functions, covering full-spectrum financial operations; prior exposure to the manufacturing or recycling sector is advantageous.
- Well-versed in inventory management, cost accounting, and ERP software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Solid understanding of tax regulations, including GST/VAT compliance.
- Familiarity with the Deskera accounting platform is a bonus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with counterparts in China (proficiency in Mandarin is essential).
