Job Description
  • Assist in the design and analysis of underground structures, including tunnels, underground stations, and deep foundations
  • Develop and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software
  • Perform structural calculations and analysis to ensure the safety and stability of underground structures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical engineers and construction professionals
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay updated on local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in underground structure design or a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience with structural analysis software
  • Strong knowledge of underground construction techniques and geotechnical principles
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Singapore
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not a must
  • Willingness to participate in occasional site visits and inspections
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
