About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our team at CHL CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our civil and structural engineering projects in the Central Region. This full-time position will involve overseeing all aspects of project management, from planning and coordination to on-site supervision and quality assurance.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing project plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets and specifications
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and proposing solutions to overcome challenges
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Conducting site inspections, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and providing on-site supervision
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to address queries and resolve issues
  • Providing technical support and mentorship to junior team members

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply engineering principles
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, BIM, and project management software
