Job Description

As a Fitness Trainer, you shall be assisting the Senior Fitness Trainer for the conducting of fitness training and fitness tests, the check-in and check-out process, the provisions of emergency medical procedures, risk assessment and etc. You shall also be placed on a duty roster for different roles, including but not limited to Duty Instructor and Gym Supervisor. You are expected to perform your functions and roles in accordance to the operation guidelines. This is an outpost position to be posted to one of the Fitness Conditioning Centre at Maju, Kranji, Khatib or Bedok Camp. You shall be going through internal trainings and induction program. You are required to successfully completed these programs before your official deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct group level fitness training in accordance with lesson plans.
  • Conduct fitness assessment such as Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT)
  • Conduct familiarization and orientation of physical training facilities and equipment.
  • Implement, manage, and enforce safe management measures and stipulated rules and regulations.
  • Reporting of training equipment defect, facility issue and physical or potential hazards
  • Perform risk assessment and enforcement of safety measures during training activities.
  • Develop and inculcate the knowledge and importance of physical training and exercises.
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Min Nitec/Diploma in Fitness Training Related or,
  • Relevant Fitness Certification
  • Possess a valid CPR/AED certification preferred
  • Attain a Body Mass Index (BMI) of under 25, failing which, to achieve below 25% body fat using skin-fold or impedance test
  • Completed Full-Time NS (if eligible)
  • Passed IPPT (if eligible)
  • No Experience is required, Training will be provided.
