Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire import process, from shipment arrival to final delivery.
  • Manage air import documentation, including airway bills, permits, invoices, and customs clearance forms.
  • Coordinate daily with carriers, shippers, consignees, and transport providers to ensure on-time movement of cargo.
  • Arrange and monitor freight collection, transportation, and delivery schedules using approved vendors and 3PL providers.
  • Enter shipment data accurately into internal systems and maintain proper record-keeping.
  • Review and verify shipping documents received from origin offices; resolve discrepancies quickly.
  • Handle import declarations and customs compliance in line with Singapore's import regulations.
  • Communicate shipment milestones, delivery updates, and cost details to customers promptly.
  • Manage billing, invoicing, and shipment costing in accordance with company standards.
  • Support after-hours operations when needed to ensure uninterrupted import flow.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, airlines, and logistics partners.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in air import operations or freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of import procedures, customs documentation, and international trade compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in cargo clearance, transportation coordination, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with freight systems, Incoterms, and air carrier operations.
