Job description:
The Technology Division at BCS is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of BCS applications such as FAST, Giro, CTS, PayNow, SGQR, TFR, eGIRO and its critical infrastructure, ensuring its operational stability, regulatory compliance, and service reliability.
The Infrastructure Services Team under Technology ensures the resilience, security, and high-performance of BCS' technology infrastructure across various functions of service monitoring, incident management, and technical support. The team ensures seamless operation, maintenance, and strategic growth of core infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, middleware, and databases.
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for the execution, delivery and successful implementation of IT Infrastructure projects within the stipulated timeline and within budget. This position is a great opportunity for an individual possessing knowledge and an interest in payments.
- Manage internal/external stakeholders, lead projects and technical teams towards successful completion of activities to deliver projects timely.
- Manage and monitor project risks, issues and progress and ensure deliverables are delivered in accordance with project schedule and within the budgeted cost.
- Ensure all assignments and engagements under the functional and technical tracks are efficiently managed and executed.
- Support and participate in functional discussions, walkthroughs and presentations with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with teams to recommend or provide solutions to stakeholders.
- Ensure systems software provided by vendor and/or internal team function according to the finalised functional requirements.
- Manage and support the internal and external acceptance testing, industry testing and "live" cutover.
- Review and ensure the teams and project comply with defined project processes, standards and methodologies.
- Prepare and review project status reports, meeting minutes, risk report.
- Prepare and review technical, operations documentation and training materials
- Perform impact analysis for new and existing requirement changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience in IT projects, with at least 5 years of experience in project management of large-scale projects.
- Experience in financial industry/payments systems will be an advantage
- Good understanding and experience in IT project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) are necessary.
- Excellent ability to communicate technical and strategic information effectively across all organisational levels, fostering collaboration and alignmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess leadership qualities and people management skills.
- Knowledge and experience in JEE, RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, MySQL), Application Servers (e.g. WAS, WLS, JBoss) will be an advantage.
