The People Operations team serves as a pivotal Centre of Excellence within the People Team, delivering comprehensive people and payroll advisory services across 22 countries. Key responsibilities include preparing documentation for all people-related activities—such as employment agreements, contract amendments, certificates, secondments, global transfers, and terminations—and collaborating with external payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. The team addresses employee and leadership inquiries, coordinates onboarding and offboarding procedures, manages visas, and oversees employee benefits, including insurance and fleet administration. Additionally, senior team members provide employee relations guidance and leadership support.

Based in Singapore, this is an exciting opportunity to join our People Operations team as we move from a shared mailbox to a HR ServiceNow platform. You'll play a key role in implementing our new digital ticketing and knowledge base solution - empowering the business, streamlining processes, reducing low-value queries, and driving continuous operational improvements.
As a key member of the People Services team, you'll help define and execute our strategy, champion continuous improvement, and foster a culture where our people thrive and succeed.
Key Accountabilities of the Lead role include:
- Lead Global People Operations - Plan, resource, and manage the People Operations team to deliver trusted, expert advice and services across standard people practices globally.
- Drive Operational Excellence - Deliver efficient, digitally enabled HR processes that empower leaders and enhance the employee experience through standardization and a strategic focus on self-empowerment and automation
- Champion Process Innovation - Shape global policies and guidelines that balance global consistency with local needs. Build strong governance and clear, user-friendly tools to make change simple and effective.
- Inspire and Grow Your Team - Lead a high-performing global team (Payroll & People Advisory), fostering collaboration, development, and alignment to deliver exceptional results.
- Bring Zespri's Culture to Life - Be a champion of our values, driving a high-performance, inclusive culture where people thrive.
- Engage and Influence Stakeholders - Build strong relationships across the business, ensuring clarity, collaboration, and alignment on processes and priorities.
We are seeking a solid HR generalist who has proven experience within complex or global environments. We are also looking for:
- Proven ability to develop and implement people policies, guidelines, and tools
- Expertise in managing centralised HR services and driving process improvements
- Strong leadership skills with a customer-centric approach
- Commercial mindset and ability to apply it to employment practices
- Tech-savvy with experience leveraging digital solutions (HRSD ServiceNow and/or SAP Success Factors a plus)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A degree level qualification, preferably in HR, Organisation Development, Industrial Relations, or Business Management
