As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records. You will be responsible for performing reconciliations across various e-commerce platforms, managing customer refunds, and working closely with the Accounts Payable officer.

Our client was a historic department store which has transformed itself as online-only retailer. They provide a range of products including fashion, beauty, homewares and technology across national and international brands.

Description

  • Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, revenue, expenses, and credit cards
  • Reconcile sales transactions from multiple various sales channels
  • Prepare monthly sales reports
  • Manage customer refunds
  • Provide AP support when necessary
  • Manage creditor and supplier relationships, including weekly payment processing
  • Complete month-end tasks such as prepayments, accruals, depreciation, inventory, and gift cards
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets
  • Assist with the annual audit process
  • Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks, including commercial analysis

Profile

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
