In the past couple of years, the Economic Impact team has delivered projects for the Singapore government, pan-APAC trade associations, major western multi-nationals, management consultancies and Asian technology companies, amongst others.

Oxford Economics is excited to offer current university students and recent graduates in Singapore the opportunity to join its Singapore-based consulting team on an internship. One full-time internship position is available with the Economic Impact Consulting team. The role will provide hands-on experience, working alongside our teams of Economists in Singapore and our global team.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in pursuing a career in the Economics discipline, who are keen to learn fast and help us deliver high quality research and positive outcomes to the wide variety of clients we work with.

Key Responsibilities

We are currently looking for one full-time intern from September to December 2025.

The applicant must be pursuing a degree in Economics at the undergraduate or graduate level; or be a recent graduate. For undergraduates, we are looking for preferably students in their penultimate or final year of studies. Exact start and end dates of the internship around the general duration are flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the team in conducting economic analysis and research. You will have the opportunity to work with our economists to craft reports, presentations and other deliverables.
  • Desk research and literature reviews to survey the current news and economic literature. You will gain an understanding of how economic theories and analytical techniques can be applied to solve real world problems.
  • Data aggregation and analysis in support of project work or proposal development. This can involve producing charts, tables and other content for reports and presentations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to learn quickly and problem solve.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • An interest in economic modelling and analysis.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
  • Curiosity and a desire to continue to improve.
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Other tools like Power BI, Stata, and R will be beneficial.
