Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of a variety of baked goods, including artisan breads and pastries.
  • Design and implement seasonal pastry menus while adhering to franchise guidelines.
  • Oversee daily baking processes and ensure the freshness and quality of all bakery products.
  • Monitor food costs, inventory levels, and waste for efficient operations and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers for optimal quality and pricing.
  • Engage with customers, showcasing bakery offerings and addressing any inquiries or feedback.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing bakery team, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Collaborate with operations and management to align bakery output with business needs and goals.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bakery or pastry production with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of artisanal baking techniques and café-style pastries.
  • Proven ability to lead a production team and manage baking schedules.
  • Experience in high-volume bakery or café operations is advantageous.
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Skills to train, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to quality, consistency, and presentation of baked goods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
