SummaryKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work independently to develop formulate a wide range of commercially-viable food and supplement applications including but not limited to sports nutrition products, bakery products, nutritional bars, healthy snack, extruded snacks, culinary products, confectionary, plant based meat etc., utilizing Glanbia's board nutritional ingredients portfolio including dairy proteins, plant proteins, bioactive, vitamin, minerals.
  • Support Sales and business development teams frequently for customer support and visits to customers.
  • Provide technical support and have the ability to work directly with customers both on and off site.
  • Conduct pilot or commercial trials, take formulations from bench-top to pilot plant and commercialization.
  • Create new nutritional products concepts with Glanbia products that challenge existing market products.
  • Gain fundamental understanding of plant processes used to produce all nutritional products and be able to assist production with trouble shooting such issues.
  • Develop intellectual property in the form of patents to help protect and add value to the business bottom line.
  • Interpret complex scientific data to show benefits of products under study, develop and deliver reports for both scientific and lay persons that communicate both the science and benefits of products.
  • Educate sales teams in both formal and informal training, particularly in new products that are being commercialized.
  • Test new products for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content and adherence to government and industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master of Science degree (M. S.) or equivalent; or a B. S. degree with minimum of 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to synthesize new ideas and methods from reading and analyzing common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write publication grade manuscripts and have experience in publishing scientific articles.
  • Present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In depth knowledge of instruments and pilot processing equipment.
  • Ability to scale projects from pilot plant to full, commercial scale.
  • Good communication skills to work with international team.
  • Self-motivated and resistance-adversity personality as it requires development work
