Founded in 2004, Thurlestone Shipping is an independent, international ship broker with unparalleled global experience that focuses on Dry Cargo chartering, Sale and Purchase, Freight Derivatives, and Market Research.

We are a truly global organisation employing international brokers in 11 offices spanning Europe, The Middle East, Asia, and Australia to provide a best-in-class service to a rich and diverse portfolio of clients engaged in all aspects of dry bulk commodity shipping and trading.

We are actively seeking a dry bulk operations executive that matches the following criteria.

Required skills & competencies

  • Positive attitude and team spirit
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Reliable, independent and supportive
  • Strong conversational and written English as business language
  • Solid understanding of Laytime and Freight calculations
  • Strong accounting knowledge and mathematical capability
  • At least 2-5 years' experience in dry-bulk operations is preferred but not a requirement for consideration.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Running 20+ active shipments concurrently
  • Post voyage management
  • Dispute settlements
  • Consistent accurate data entry
  • Reliable consultancy to clients
  • Handling Brokerage Commission Invoices
    Assist in Charter Parties management

Compensation

  • 5 days' work per week, but expected to work overtime when necessary.
  • Salary is to be determined according to experience and qualifications.
    Bonus: Performance related & discretionary.
