Singapore AL-HAZIMA RESTAURANT PTE. LTD. Full time $4,000 - $6,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes (e.g., curries, tandoori items, breads, biryanis, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes).
  • Ensure food is prepared according to authentic recipes, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen helpers/assistants in food preparation.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
  • Monitor food inventory, manage stock, and ensure proper storage of spices and ingredients.
  • Minimize food wastage and ensure cost-effective use of ingredients.
  • Assist in planning menus, introducing seasonal/special dishes, and improving recipes.
  • Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in an Indian restaurant/hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and traditional cooking methods (North/South Indian cuisine experience is an advantage).
  • Ability to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong passion for Indian cuisine and creativity in cooking.
  • WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred, or willing to obtain).
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Physically fit to handle kitchen duties (long hours, heat, heavy pots).
