SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Division Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the overall performance and business direction of the Medical & Surgical Devices. This position oversees all aspects of the division's operations, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and personnel. The Division Manager is accountable for achieving the division's financial targets, driving growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

Reporting to : Commercial Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • BUSINESS PLANNING

  • Develop and execute the division's business plan in alignment with the overall company objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for growth and expansion within the division.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and dynamics to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Translate mid to long term goals into actionable plans and initiatives for the division's teams.

  • TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team within the division.

  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Identify and address employee development needs, providing coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to human resources.

  • OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Oversee all operational aspects of the division to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensure the division meets or exceeds quality standards and customer expectations.

  • SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead and direct the division's sales and business development efforts to achieve revenue targets.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

  • MANAGEMENT OF KEY STAKEHOLDERS

  • Work with suppliers to align business goals and achieve objectives set for each business

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments within the organization, such as finance, Operations and HR.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and related stakeholders.

  • RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the division's operations.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a strong ethical culture within the division.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Relevant Field, e.g., Business Administration
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and achieving business results.
  • Significant experience in relevant industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Tools, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite.
