Job Scope:

Purchaser Assistant

• To be competent & manage procurement activities for fabricated parts & to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Fabricated parts including welded hollow section structures, aluminum profile structures, sheet metal parts, plastic & metal precision & semi precision parts.
• To establish proactive and positive long-term partnership with quality & key vendors to achieve ultimate quality & cost savings.
• To be a team player & collaborate with cross-functional in-house teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• To update & maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documents via the In-house SCM inventory systems.
• To stay relevant & resourceful in the selection & qualifying of new suppliers and vendor-supplier management.
• Local Delivery: to perform logistics duties ranging from packing, documentation, stuffing & unstuffing, loading & unloading for local delivery.
• Receiving: to receive both fabricated & standard parts from local & overseas delivery as & when assigned by the project teams.
• Receiving: to co-ordinate all corresponding mandatory requirements, documentation & clearance for parts received locally & overseas.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in supply chain management or related field
• Min 1-2 year of purchaser experience
• Experience with fabricated parts is a plus

Procurement Executive

• Source and procure materials & services required for project and factory needs.
• Negotiate for the best price and terms for all purchase and ensure they are in compliance with specification and schedules.
• Monitor and expedite to ensure items are delivery on time for project use.
• Sourcing suppliers, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization.
• Liaising with suppliers on the delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time.
• Monitor market trends, provide analysis on costs.
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
• Work closely with others in the procurement function.
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and blanket order.
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
• Conduct research for new components and suppliers.
• Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.
• Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance.
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
• Any adhoc Work assigned by HOD/General Manager

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering and economics or any related field
• Minimum 2 year of working experience in similar positions.
