Billing & Settlement Officer (1-Year Contract)

Location: Somerset (walking distance from MRT)

Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am – 6:00pm

Duration: 12 months (extendable/convertible)

Salary: Up to $3500/monthly

Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing & Settlement Officer to manage billing and credit control processes. The role ensures accurate and timely invoicing, settlements, and reporting while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. Senior candidates will also coach junior staff and assist with process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and manage customer invoices for utilities, primarily electricity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve billing and credit control issues
  • Review and settle monthly and daily accounts accurately
  • Work closely with internal departments to maintain accurate customer information
  • Coach Junior Officers (for Senior roles)
  • Liaise with external vendors and resolve issues (Senior roles)
  • Support process and system improvements (Senior roles)
  • Prepare internal and customer financial/billing reports as required

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, IT, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience or 2+ years supervisory experience for Senior roles
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and solve problems
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
