In line with continued growth aspiration both here as well as the region, they are currently recruiting for a Director of Procurement.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and implement multi-year procurement strategy and transformation roadmap, observing institutional priorities and regulatory compliance.
  • Category Management: Drive spend analysis, supplier segmentation, and category strategies to optimise cost efficiency and value across key procurement areas.
  • Tender & Contract Management: Oversee the end-to-end tendering process, negotiate high-value contracts, and ensure transparent, compliant procurement practices.
  • Supplier & Performance Management: Build strong supplier partnerships, monitor performance, and promote sustainability and innovation within the supply base.
  • Team & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and develop the procurement team, foster collaboration with stakeholders, and provide strategic insights to senior management.

Key Requirements

  • Recognised Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 20 years of procurement experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and managing large-scale tenders.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
  • Strategic leader with admirable stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commitment to ethical procurement and sustainability.
  • Familiarity with e-procurement platforms and data analytics tools.
