Assistant Vice President, Institutional Sales, Southeast Asia

Role Overview

You will be responsible for bringing in business from institutional clients in Southeast Asia, including sales and client services. The role requires self-motivation to develop and execute business plans.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify new business opportunities with institutional clients, focusing on tier-1 and upper tier-2 relationships. Engage proactively to understand investment preferences, identify opportunities or risks, and mobilize internal resources.
  2. Develop and implement business strategies and plans to meet targets.
  3. Manage all client proposals and marketing materials, ensuring high quality standards.
  4. Maintain and update Salesforce with client interactions and sales activities.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams such as Marketing, Client Servicing, RFP, Performance, and Compliance to support sales efforts.
  6. Oversee client onboarding processes, including negotiations, account setup, communication, and performance reviews.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with regional field consultants.
  8. Collaborate with marketing to promote Columbia Threadneedle Investments' brand and capabilities.
Key Capabilities
  1. Experience in asset management sales.
  2. Knowledge of asset classes and ability to discuss strategies with clients.
  3. Experience in developing relationships with institutional clients in Southeast Asia.
  4. Fluency in English; additional Southeast Asia languages are a plus.
  5. Understanding of business cultures across Southeast Asia.
  6. Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  7. Self-motivated, energetic, and sales-driven with the ability to work under pressure.
  8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including night calls with overseas partners.
  9. Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
