Job Scope – Turkish Chef

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook authentic Turkish cuisine, including kebabs, mezes, grilled meats, breads, and traditional desserts.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Plan and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, portion control, and inventory.
  • Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize wastage.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Create and suggest new Turkish dishes or seasonal menu items to attract customers.
  • Work closely with management to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Turkish Chef or specialty cook, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Turkish recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays as part of the duty roster.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in Singapore is an advantage.
