Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Costing & Financial Analysis

  • Conduct product costing analysis, including material, labor, and overhead cost allocation.
  • Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide actionable insights.
  • Support monthly/quarterly financial closing with accurate cost reporting.
  • Assist in inventory valuation and reconciliation.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyze trends, KPIs, and business performance to identify risks & opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments to validate assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.

Management Reporting & Decision Support

  • Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist in scenario analysis for strategic initiatives (e.g., pricing, cost-saving projects).

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Identify opportunities to automate costing/FP&A processes (e.g., ERP/SAP enhancements).
  • Maintain and improve costing templates, financial models, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data integrity across financial systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to validate cost inputs.
  • Support commercial teams with pricing analysis and margin optimization.
  • Assist in government grant applications (e.g., productivity incentives).

Key Accountability Areas

  • Cost accuracy – Ensure product costs reflect true expenses.
  • Forecast reliability – Minimize deviations through rigorous analysis.
  • Reporting timeliness – Deliver management reports within deadlines.
  • Process efficiency – Continuously improve costing/FP&A workflows.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years in costing, FP&A, or management accounting (manufacturing experience a plus).
  • Proficient in Excel (pivots, lookups), ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and BI tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
