Company Overview: Our company is a leading food manufacturing and distribution organization, catering to various outlets across Singapore. These include van sales, food service, supermarkets, and beverages distribution. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Logistics Manager to oversee our logistics operations and fleet management.
Job Purpose: The Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the logistics team, including drivers and fleet management. The primary objective is to ensure efficient route planning, fleet maintenance, and timely delivery to island-wide outlets and drop points. The successful candidate will also support the General Manager (GM) in implementing sales-driven strategies and achieving defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of drivers and logistics personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations, including route planning, fleet maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.

Oversee daily logistics operations, including order fulfilment, vehicle routing, and delivery schedules across Singapore.
-
Manage fleet operations, including maintenance of refrigerated vehicles, COE/insurance renewals, and monitoring of fuel efficiency.
-
Plan and optimize delivery routes for van sales, food service, supermarket, and herbal distribution to various islandwide outlets.
-
Supervise the collection of cash on delivery (COD) and ensure accurate deposit into the company's money deposit machine.
-
Manage the return of goods from customers to the warehouse, maintaining accurate records.
-
Develop and manage manpower rosters, ensuring adequate shift coverage, especially during peak periods, weekends, and public holidays.
-
Recruit, onboard, and manage drivers, ensuring they meet licensing, safety, and training requirements.
-
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing guidance, training, and regular feedback.
-
Lead and motivate a team of logistics staff, providing training on food safety, SOP compliance, equipment handling, and company policies.
-
Collaborate with the GM to support sales growth strategies and optimize logistics operations, implementing initiatives to enhance revenue growth.
-
Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of temperature-sensitive products, complying with HACCP, SFA regulations, and internal standards.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and improve KPIs.
-
Prepare and present detailed reports on logistics performance, fleet efficiency, manpower utilization, and operational costs to senior management.

Develop contingency plans to manage operational disruptions, including vehicle breakdowns and temperature excursions.

Oversee vendor invoice management, including verification and processing of logistics-related invoices from transport vendors.

Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution sector.

Demonstrated experience in fleet management and route optimization.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Proven track record in implementing sales-driven logistics strategies.

Experience in preparing management reports and analyzing logistics data.

Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational acumen.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office applications.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

Possession of personal transport is required.
-
5 days work week, Monday to Friday. Must be able to commit on weekends when job is required.
