About FMAS:

The Federation of Merchants' Associations, Singapore (FMAS) is a non-profit organization that represents and champions the heartland merchants and hawkers in Singapore. We organize various events and programs to ensure our merchants' and hawkers' continued participation, learning and improvement. FMAS works very closely with Ministries, Government Agencies and other public and private stakeholders to drive initiatives to develop and improve our heartlands.

The objectives of FMAS are to:

  • Inject vibrancy into town and neighbourhood centres;
  • Unite businesses in the community;
  • Uplift and upscale the productivity and competitiveness of our heartland merchants and hawkers

About the Role:

Passionate about heartland work where we aim to upgrade our heartland precincts as well as our heartland merchants and hawkers? FMAS is now looking for positive and passionate team players to take up the role of a Project Executive.

Key Responsibilities
(Supporting Role)

  • Assist in planning and coordinating FMAS projects, events, and programmes
  • Support project teams in tracking timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Assist in preparing project documents, reports, and presentations
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, events, and outreach activities
  • Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders under guidance from project leads
  • Help maintain FMAS online platforms, including website, social media, and newsletters
  • Assist in membership outreach and engagement activities
  • Support the preparation of marketing materials and publicity efforts
  • Carry out general secretariat duties and other tasks assigned by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director and project leads

Requirements

  • Positive and proactive attitude, with an interest in community and heartland work
  • Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a team and support multiple projects at the same time
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience in events, administration, or community work will be an advantage but is not essential
