Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wintel Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support for Windows servers, VMware virtual environments, and Linux systems, ensuring stable operations, high availability and optimal performance across our enterprise IT landscape. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Windows Server (Wintel) environments including patching, updates, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere virtualized infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring and optimization.
  • Provide support for Linux servers as part of cross-platform IT operations.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability across Wintel, VMware and Linux platforms.
  • Perform routine maintenance, backups and disaster recovery tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global IT teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, system upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, procedures and configurations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience supporting Windows servers (Wintel), VMware and Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with server administration, virtualization and system monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, storage systems and security best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Advantageous:

  • VMware certifications (e.g., VCP) or Windows certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE).
  • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure or hybrid solutions).
