Our client, a Japanese company specialising in water solutions, is seeking a Senior Proposal Engineer (Water Treatment) to join their team.

【 Responsibilities 】
- Review tender specifications and customers' requirements, and prepare a process design.
- Obtain quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors based on the requirements.
- Interact closely with vendors to understand new technologies and effectively implement customer applications using vendor information.
- Interact closely with customers to provide technical information and address any clarifications.
- Prepare cost-effective costings.
- Prepare commercial & technical proposals with specifications for timely bid submissions.
- Generate/coordinate P&ID and General Arrangement drawings.
- Work with the Business Development Manager to apply costing and process design strategies to increase the probability of winning bids.
- Coordinate with Process / Mechanical / Electrical & Instrumentation Team for technical clarification support if required.
- Follow up with customers on submitted proposals and potential opportunities.
- Negotiate with vendors and customers if required.
- Review and verify the completeness of the PO contract and compliance with agreed requirements after project confirmation.
- Communicate and nurture relationships with customers to drive more opportunities.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in proposal engineering for water treatment in the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and municipal wastewater treatment, including Filtration, UF, RO, EDI, SRU, MBBR, MBR, etc.
- Experience in designing complex skid-based industrial water treatment systems and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel when required (less than 4 times a year) to locations such as Malaysia, China, Europe, Korea, etc.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
