Job DescriptionAs a member of the HQ Regional Controllership Team in Sea Finance, you serve as a vital link between HQ Finance and country finance teams by leading the rollout of key initiatives and strategic developments.
- Assist in overseeing and guiding local finance team on month-end closing, accuracy of system data and any accounting related matters
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecast exercises.
- Act as a central point of guidance for regional country finance teams, ensuring alignment with Finance-related directives from HQ
- Design and implement financial policies and procedures that adhere to both group-level standards and local GAAP
- Lead essential initiatives such as projects such as process enhancements, and system rollouts, while collaborating with stakeholders from various backgrounds
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or related fields, or other related professional qualification in accounting, such as the ACCA and ISCA.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- Big 4 accounting firm experience desired but not a must
- Strong team player with experience in leading, developing and growing teams
- Passionate in the finance space and loves to challenge the status quo
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment while delivering desired results
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Strong logical and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with voluminous data management, statistics and research methodology will be a plus
- Willing to travel to local market within Asia for business trips
