We are expanding our digital capabilities and are seeking a skilled and innovative Programmer / Developer to create engaging, interactive learning experiences.

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Programmer / Developer with strong front-end development skills to design and build interactive web components, HTML5 animations and optimised applications. You will work closely with our editors, designers and project managers to deliver innovative digital products for education. The role may also involve developing interactive eBooks using FlipPDF Pro Plus or similar software.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development & Interface Design

  • Create website layouts and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Develop interactive components for educational and promotional content

Code Development & Optimisation

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability

Animation & Interactive Features

  • Produce HTML5 animations using JavaScript or relevant libraries
  • Create engaging animated content using Tumult Hype, Adobe Animate, Rive or equivalent

eBook Development

  • Develop interactive eBooks using FlipPDF Pro Plus or equivalent software

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with editors, designers, and project managers to ensure high-quality outputs
  • Revise and improve interactive features based on feedback
Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

Experience

  • Proven experience in front-end development or interactive web content creation
  • A portfolio or samples of past development work is preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong JavaScript skills, including jQuery
  • Understanding of asynchronous request handling (Ajax)
  • Basic knowledge of backend development
  • Experience in producing HTML5 animation (Tumult Hype experience is a plus)

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies
