We are seeking an experienced Senior Energy Storage Engineer to spearhead the development and delivery of energy storage projects in Singapore and across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise in utility-scale energy storage systems (Battery, Flow or other technologies), a proven track record in project delivery, and strong leadership in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments

This Senior Engineer will play a pivotal role in strengthening Arup's position in the Singapore energy market, driving project success, enhancing client relationships, and fostering collaboration across disciplines. They will lead the delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices. This role will also contribute to business growth, technical excellence, and cross-disciplinary integration, reinforcing Arup's reputation as a trusted advisor in the energy sector.

The Opportunity

(What will I do?)

• Lead the delivery of energy storage projects and tasks, focusing on the developmental, construction and operation and maintenance phases.
• Provide technical guidance to juniors in the preparation of feasibility studies, design basis, specifications, and functional requirements for energy storage projects.
• Manage and deliver technical due diligence projects related to transactions of energy storage assets.
• Support team members in technical execution and problem-solving, fostering a culture of excellence.

Is this role right for you?

(What will I bring?)
- Chartered Engineer (e.g., CPEng, CEng) with a degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the energy sector, with a strong focus on energy storage.
- Proven experience delivering renewables projects across APAC.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
