  • Salary Range:  From $2,500 (Depends on experience & qualifications)

The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials needed for marine solutions. Day-to-day tasks include managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support customers' operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Sourcing and Management:

  2. Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors for marine provisions, spare parts, safety equipment, and other chandler goods.

  3. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  4. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure favorable terms and continuous supply.

  5. Procurement Planning:

  6. Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs based on vessel schedules and client demands.

  7. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure stock availability.
  8. Develop procurement plans aligned with company budgets and operational requirements.

  9. Order Placement and Follow-up:

  10. Prepare purchase orders and send them to suppliers.

  11. Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues.
  12. Ensure all deliveries meet quality standards and specifications

  13. Cost Control and Record-Keeping:

  14. Analyze cost trends and seek opportunities for cost reduction.

  15. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and supplier performance

  16. Compliance and Documentation:

  17. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in the marine industry or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or relevant field
