OVERVIEW:

Evatec is a Swiss based company specialized in development, production and sales of high tech evaporation and sputtering machines for semiconductor, optics and optoelectronic manufacturers. Evatec is active on a global perspective with entities in North America, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia China, Taiwan and Japan.

The key responsibility of this position as Field Application Engineer is to support our high volume PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) equipment used in the manufacturing of semiconductor applications for the LED-, Power Electronics-, Optics- and Wireless Communication industries.

Education and Background:

· Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred

· Minimum of 5 years experiences in customer service or application engineer related to sputtering equipment in Semiconductor, LED.

Skills & Specifications:

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to read technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)

· Electrical and mechanical skills

· High capability to solve technical problems in a structured and efficient way

· Be able to quickly adapt to new circumstances

· Good decision-making skills

· Ability to prepare report in a structured way

· Ability to encourage and motivate people with responsible attitude

· Ability to travel

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Providing On-Site Support to customers using Evatec's equipment for the manufacturing requirements

· Conducting and being responsible for sputter & evaporator process application support at manufacturing site or customer site.

· Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Evatec's products in both hardware and process related issue.

· Communication with our technical support team locally and project managers of the business unit in Switzerland to ensure corrective actions are taken efficiently and precisely

· Travelling upon business needs to other regions.

· Working independently and in a team environment

· Acting as a liaison between Evatec's customers and Evatec headquarters to ensure all concerns are addressed accurately and effectively for long term resolution and customer relationship.

· Providing written reports about FAT, problem analysis, root cause findings, open issue list (OIL) etc. to BU

· Coordinate the teleconference call between customer and headquarter team on continue improvement platform (CIP) activities.
