About this role

This role is responsible for the management of consultants & contractors and tenant management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage all project & ad hoc renovation works and tenant matters in Thomson Medical Centre, including Satellite Clinics and offices.

  • Manage contractors and consultants to ensure that the projects are carried out/maintained to the standard set by the Management or the Authorities.

  • Propose/Recommend improvement, repairs and upgrading works when appropriate and ensure such are carried out properly when approved.

  • Work with the Senior Engineer/Executive and support the facilities management operations by working closely with the in-house technician, contractors and vendors in compliance of all rules and regulations including including satellite clinics and offices.

  • Address tenant/patient feedback and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

  • Supervise and assess the quality of work performed by team members and vendors.

  • Manage Workplace Health & Safety and safety compliance where applicable.

  • Ensure contractors' compliance to House Rules and Permit-To-Work process, including adequate risk assessment and controls are in place before and during works.

  • Develop and review SOPs and Quality Procedures for the Facilities Management, processes as well as training and equipping staff to carry out their work correctly, safely and conscientiously.

  • Ensure compliance with the Singapore Standards, Code of Practices, Hospital's ISO and any other Statutory Requirements and any other management system.

  • Provide in-house consultancy services.

  • Renew all licenses and certificates before their expiry.

  • Ensure all the maintenance contracts are in place and renewed before the expiry date.

  • Assist to prepare the operational budget and Capex budget.

  • Perform any other duties, which may be necessary from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Building Services/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • At least 10 years of related working experience

  • Possess WSHO Certificate/MOM Licensed Workplace Safety & Health Officer

  • Hospital experience will be an added advantage
