The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. These include antenna design and electromagnetics, as well as next-wave technologies in the areas of lasers and advanced materials.

System Administrator

In this role, you will:

  • Provide and maintain a secure, robust and reliable infrastructure for IT systems used for R&D projects
  • Maintain expertise in the management and security of Linux and Windows IT systems
  • Gather requirements and implement suitable hardware and software solutions for Linux and Windows IT systems
  • Implement and maintain system security in accordance to the cybersecurity policy
  • Perform periodic preventive and corrective maintenance, updates and upgrades to software / hardware, including operating systems, applications and security software
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or equivalent
  • Good knowledge and technical hands-on experience in Linux, Windows Desktop and/or Server technology
  • Strong analytical skills and has a flair in dealing with technical and operational problems
  • Experience and knowledge of Windows or Linux environment and security applications
