Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Aftersales, the Mechanic/Head Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles and equipment are maintained and repaired efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical Electric Vehicle background, proven leadership abilities, and extensive hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, mechanical repairs, and servicing vehicles in an authorized dealership environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring overall operation of the garage, including safety, cleanliness and workflow efficiency.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and perform quality control checks before vehicle delivery
  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies or recurring issues in repairs processed; implement root-cause solutions
  • Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to a schedule to minimize breakdowns and maximize performance
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities and parts usage
  • Adhere to established procedures and guidelines for maintenance and repairs
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements

  • Certification or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic in an Authorized Dealership environment
  • Must be certified in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology and possess a valid certification.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills of Electric Vehicles
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and safety
