About the role

AUTOMOTION ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Sembawang North Region. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of innovative automotive products, contributing to the company's strategic objectives within the Mechanical Engineering industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Design Jig, Equipment Design and development.
  • Provide Conceptual and detail design of various module of automation system
  • Closely follow up with customer from design review to end of the project.
  • Create and maintain necessary engineering document require for the project.
  • Handle customers' enquirers and issues.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Take part in customer meetings to discuss requirements for new projects and project proposals.
  • Deliver support during the engineering assembly process and assist with client buy-off.
  • Perform rigorous analysis and testing to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of mechanical designs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve and optimise the design process
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to facilitate the smooth production and implementation of your designs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members, as well as contribute to the development of training materials and best practices

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Proficient in the use of Inventor software or Solidworks Software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable designs
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
