We are a growing SME corporation seeking a seasoned, ethical, and highly organised Finance and HR Manager to lead and provide oversight to the company's Finance and HR scope.

Key scope is to manage the company's Finance and HR operations. You must be hands-on and having adequate experiences in handling finance operations, recording, control, budgeting and reporting. Ability to work independently in a lean setup.

HR responsibilities include handling employee relations, recruitment, retention, termination, policies and procedures, employee benefits, payroll, and may perform other administrative duties as required.

You must be willing to work in our office located at Tuas, Singapore.

Scope of Responsibilities include :-

Finance Skills

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial statements across departments or subsidiaries.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets.
  • Support management with financial data for decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost control.
  • Analyse financial trends to support strategic planning.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare tax filings (e.g., GST returns, corporate income tax) in compliance with IRAS regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities during audits and tax reviews.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the development of accounting policies and procedures.

HR and Governance Skills

  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary payments, including CPF contributions, tax deductions, and other statutory requirements.
  • Recruitment: Support the recruitment process, including reviewing job descriptions, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding: Handle employee onboarding, contract preparation, and termination processes, ensuring compliance with MOM regulations.
  • Leave & Benefits Administration: Manage employee leave records, benefits administration, and statutory claims (e.g., maternity, childcare, NS leave).
  • HR Compliance: Ensure HR policies are up to date with Singapore labour laws and company guidelines.
  • Support senior management with ad-hoc financial and HR reports.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting and HR software systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within financial and HR systems.
  • Margins derivation on promotions.
  • Pricing tabulation and implementation to be presented to management prior to execution to appointed region exclusive distributors/customers
  • Support the Managing Director in managing the Board meetings, reporting, and governance policies;
  • Undertake reasonable additional duties, as required in line with the above or other organisational needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a finance operations or accounting role.
  • Able to work in lean environment with high initiatives and hands-on capability.
  • Has prior experiences in leading multifaceted Finance and HR operations role.
  • Possess leadership and confidence in managing Finance and HR operations in a lean setup.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Desirable chartered /certified or advanced qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and statistics and superb attention to detail.
  • HR operations experiences in handling payroll management, recruitment, employee relations and performance management, HR compliance.
  • A strong sense for details while able to grasp and analyse the bigger picture.
  • Proactive, independent, organized and reliable, time management skills.
  • Expertise in finance management, and the ability to track expenses, analyse tax reports, and create spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of Singapore financial regulations.
  • Familiarity with CRM and accounting software.
