This is a hands-on Senior Engineer (Individual Contributor) role that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic 24×7 environment through a rotating shift schedule - including day, evening, and night shifts, with coverage across weekends.

Role Summary:

Join a world-class cloud infrastructure team (US Tech MNC) as a Senior Datacentre Engineer, where you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting mission-critical systems. You will be responsible for hardware and network troubleshooting, structured cabling, and datacentre deployments; ensuring seamless uptime and operational excellence. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced 24x7 environment, collaborating closely with global technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will be part of the Data Center Build Team responsible for the physical infrastructure that powers Cloud solutions across Singapore.

Key Scope:

• Ensure the effective delivery of technical support and installation activities within the cloud infrastructure datacenter, including hardware maintenance, network troubleshooting, cabling, and rack deployments.
• Manage break-fix tasks, site planning, and problem escalations to ensure seamless datacenter operations in line with internal policies and SLAs.
• Prioritize and resolve tickets in queue, address escalations, and remove blocking issues to enable timely service delivery.
• Participate in a 24x7 site coverage model, including standby rotation and shift work across regional datacenter locations.
• Collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical teams (e.g. networking, compute, compliance, business operations) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Understand internal customer issues and provide timely technical solutions aligned with operational requirements.
• Contribute to the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.
• Support deployment of on-site physical infrastructure, including structured cabling installations and related datacenter facilities.
• Perform installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of cables, hardware, and associated systems.

• 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in datacentre operations, including physical installation of server racks, mounting servers, connecting Ethernet and power cables, and performing neat cable routing according to provided schematics and plans.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a ticket-based environment, managing assigned tasks and meeting SLAs with accuracy and accountability.
• Strong team player who can collaborate seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary technical team and across departments.
• Skilled in prioritizing and managing ticket queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blockers to ensure timely delivery of technician activities in line with internal policies and service standards.
• Experienced in system board-level repairs, hardware diagnostics, and root cause analysis within defined SLA timeframes.
• Competent in using internal tools and systems for accurate and timely reporting of activities and incidents.
• Experienced in planning and commissioning new rack positions, ensuring optimal layout and space utilization.
• Exposure to or involvement in the design and commissioning of new datacentre whitespaces is a great advantage.

• Problem-solver with technical acumen, capable of troubleshooting cabling and infrastructure issues in complex environments

• Attractive annual renumeration package up to 138k (subject to candidate's overall relevant experience) for the right candidate
• 12 months contract (renewable)
