You will be the technical anchor driving the end-to-end system design and integration of cutting-edge laser and electro-optics systems for defence applications. As the systems engineering lead, you will translate complex operational needs into system-level solutions, guiding multidisciplinary teams through concept development, integration, testing, and deployment. Your leadership and systems thinking will ensure technical coherence and delivery of high-performance, field-ready solutions.

- Translate operational requirements into technical specifications and lead the systems engineering process from concept to deployment
- Define system architecture, functional requirements, and performance specifications for advanced laser and electro-optics systems
- Lead multidisciplinary development activities and ensure technical alignment across all subsystems
- Lead prototyping, testing, integration of electronics, mechanical, optical and software subsystems into a coherent system
- Oversee system-level testing, validation, and field deployment to ensure that performance and operational requirements are met
- Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, including design records, test reports, and validation data, ensuring compliance with configuration management and industry standards
Qualities We Value
- Minimum 8 years of experience in systems engineering of advanced laser or electro-optics systems
- Proven experience in requirements engineering, system design reviews, and verification/validation plans
- Solid understanding of optics, lasers, and electro-optical systems to effectively lead system integration and design decisions
- Familiarity with systems engineering practices including requirements traceability, interface definition, and verification planning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working across engineering domains
- Strong leadership and technical coordination across multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to translate customer needs into engineering requirements and solutions
- Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Comfortable with ambiguity in early R&D stages, and able to structure complexity
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams toward shared objectives
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in both lab and field settings
