As a Patient Service Associate, you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers/ patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Opening 1: Duties & Responsibilities (SOC)

  • Ensure clinic's operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
  • Assist with smooth patient journey including accurate and timely registration, discharge, appointment bookings, cashiering and any other enquiries such as insurance provider's information for billing.
  • Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.
  • Attend to any requests, emails and phone enquiries.
  • Assist clinic manager in administrative duties.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.

Opening 2: Duties & Responsibilities (Urgent Care Centre)

  • Ensure department's operational readiness. Ensure that workstations are always kept tidy and clean. Ensure sufficient stationery stock is maintained in the department.
  • Assist with smooth patient journey including:
  • Registration of patients, and updating of NOK contacts
  • Attending to and managing patients' enquiries
  • Assisting with admission process, which includes financial counselling and monitoring of bed request status.
  • Discharging of patients which includes system discharge, scheduling of appointments and payment collection.
  • Providing value-added value services that contributed to the smooth operations of the department and overall staff and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely registration and promote the usage of self-help kiosk.
  • Provide administrative assistance in the daily operations and department events.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Working schedule: 5 days' work week (Monday to Sunday) on rotating shifts. Earliest shift starts from 7.30am to 3:30pm, and latest shift starts from 9pm to 8am.

Opening 3: Duties & Responsibilities (Endoscopy Centre)

Endoscopy and OT Listing

  • Ensure that the Operating Theatre and Endoscopy Centre Lists are arranged accordingly and efficiently.
  • Reminder calls and confirmation of procedural appointments with patient for all surgical areas
  • Ensure that the daily scheduling of the various procedures is done in a timely and organized manner.
  • Able to provide financial counselling & Bowel Preparation instructions for Direct Access Patients
  • Provide adequate information to patient with regards to their scheduled operation

Contact Centre Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing solutions and advice on enquiries for patients.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing solutions and advice on enquiries for patients.
  • Work with other department stakeholders to ensure that the patient has a smooth journey with Alexandra Hospital for their procedure.
  • Upkeep Surgical Call Centre's readiness on downtime policies, with resources for downtime available in the clinic.
  • Participate in quality improvement project and assume other responsibilities tasked by the clinic/nurse manager, service team leader and/or service executives.
  • Support supervisor in daily tasks, review and streamlining of work processes.

  • Working schedule: 5 days' work week (Monday to Friday) on stagger shifts. Earliest shift starts from 8am to 5:30pm, and latest shift starts from 8.30am to 6pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE "O" Levels qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office), handling multiple systems such as SAP will be an advantage.
  • Team player with good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.

This is a 2-year contract role, subjected to contract extension or permanent conversion with satisfactory work performance.
