About the Roles

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Executive to join a leading company in the Building and Construction/Manufacturing (Furniture) industry. This permanent position is based in Mandai Estate, with a 5-day workweek (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM). The role offers a competitive salary package, including basic salary, variable bonus, and medical & dental benefits.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and monitor project budgets to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Oversee the entire project cycle, from contract award to final account preparation.
  • Prepare procurement lists and schedules that align with architectural specifications and project timelines.
  • Source and liaise with subcontractors to obtain quotations, evaluate submissions, and draft subcontract agreements.
  • Track and document defects and variations, ensuring timely submission of variation order costs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to process monthly progress claims and finalize project accounts.
  • Review and assess subcontractor variation order claims, ensuring they follow established procedures.
  • Follow up on payment certificates for subcontractors and issue payment advice to clients promptly.
  • Handle progress claims, payments, variation orders, and the overall project finalization process.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc duties as directed by management.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a good understanding of local standards and requirements.
