Project Engineer (Computer Engineering - Rail Infrastructure) - Job Duties

  • Support the planning, design, and implementation of computer-based systems for rail infrastructure, including control, signaling support, and communication networks.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of hardware and software systems such as SCADA, data acquisition, and monitoring platforms.
  • Coordinate with signaling, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and control systems into rail operations.
  • Review contractors' submissions, technical documents, and system architecture to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
  • Manage system performance testing, cybersecurity checks, and software validation to guarantee reliability and data security.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve system faults or failures, ensuring minimal disruption to rail operations.
  • Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and technical specifications to support approvals and project handovers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to align project deliverables with operational needs and timelines.
