About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer at Kim Seng Heng Engineering Construction (Pte) Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex construction projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This is a full-time position that will allow you to leverage your extensive engineering expertise and project management skills to drive the company's growth and strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
  2. Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution
  3. Identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges, and implementing appropriate contingency measures to maintain project success
  4. Monitoring and reporting on project progress, performance, and budget, and providing regular updates to the Project Manager
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle
  6. Providing technical expertise and guidance to project team members, and mentoring junior engineers as required
  7. Collaborating with the design team to review and evaluate engineering designs, drawings, and specifications
  8. Participating in the procurement process, including the review and negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors

What we're looking for

  1. A PEB Board recognised Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion
  4. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
