The Opportunity

Adecco is partnering with a Global logistics and freight forwarding company. We are looking for an Operations Specialist (Ocean Freight) to join the team

Responsible in providing support for ocean freight operations in terms of shipping documentation for both import and export. Reporting to the Operations Manager, requires background within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.

  • Permanent, Full-time opportunity
  • Location: East region, Changi South Street (Expo)
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • Salary Package: up to $3500 basic AWS

The Job

  • Attend to email correspondence with customers & overseas agents.
  • Coordinating and planning the arrival schedules of Export Ocean freight shipments to ensure efficient processing and delivery.
  • Monitoring and tracking the status of incoming shipments to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
  • Working closely with Carrier, Coloader and ground handling agents or freight forwarder to manage sailing schedules, cargo space allocation, and any issues related to outbound / inbound shipment.
  • Preparing & verify billing invoice from vendor or Oversea Agent. Follow quotation & verify cost issue invoice to customers.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and processing all necessary export documentation, including Arrival notice, Bill of landing, commercial invoices, packing lists, permit and certificates of origin.
  • Addressing and resolving any customs-related issues, such as classification disputes or valuation problems, that could delay the release of goods.

The Talent

  • Diploma in Logistics / Freight Forwarding
  • With at least 2 years of ocean operations experiences in logistics/freight forwarding industry
  • Proficient in MS Office
