About the Roles
We are hiring a Service Technician / Engineer (Marine/Electrical) to join a wholesale business for marine equipment and accessories, located at Tuas West Road, just 8 minutes' walk from the MRT. This is a permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM) and one half-day Saturday each month. The role offers a competitive package with basic salary, variable bonus, and medical benefits, providing both stability and rewarding career growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems.
- Prepare and submit progressive job activity updates and detailed service reports.
- Take on assignments locally, overseas, on an ad-hoc basis, or during voyages when required.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Coordinate effectively and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Higher Nitec, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power and Control.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and work with complex engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic programming skills.
- Willingness to handle urgent jobs, work outside regular hours, and respond on short notice.
- Comfortable working at height when required.
