Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Senior Finance Business Partner to drive financial planning, business modelling, and operational analysis across our global, capital‐intensive mining infrastructure business. In this role, you will:

  • Strategic Decision Support & Business Modelling — Lead long-term planning and global business strategy by building and maintaining dynamic financial models (IRR, NPV, payback) for new business initiatives and regions; own the annual budgeting process and quarterly rolling forecasts to align financial targets with business strategy; translate business drivers into financial metrics (revenue, profit, cash flow) and provide data-driven insights for leadership.
  • Operational Analysis & Performance Management — Develop and refine the company's core operating KPIs (e.g. cost per T-unit of compute power, miner efficiency, global mining site margins); produce periodic business analysis reports, diagnose performance variances, anticipate risks, and recommend actionable strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Asset & Cost Lifecycle Management — Build and maintain full lifecycle models for critical assets (mining equipment, infrastructure), from procurement to deployment, maintenance, and retirement; optimize variable costs such as global power consumption; implement cost‐efficiency initiatives to strengthen our competitive position.
  • Risk Management & Compliance — Identify and quantify financial risks arising from global operations; propose hedging or mitigation strategies; collaborate with legal and operations teams to ensure compliance with local tax, regulatory, and financial standards.
  • Team & System Building — Over time, establish and lead a Finance Business Partner team to embed financial business partnering across functions, enabling business units to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5–8 years in finance, with at least 3 years in a Finance Business Partner role at a major tech, hardware or manufacturing company (e.g. semiconductor, data center, large-cap manufacturer). Experience in capital-intensive businesses is required.
  • Financial Modelling: Demonstrated ability to build business models from scratch (budgeting, forecasting, NPV/IRR analysis).
  • Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred. Proficient in financial analysis, modeling, and data tools (Excel mandatory; SQL, Power BI or Tableau a strong plus). Deep understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics and their relationship to business drivers.
  • Soft Skills: Strong curiosity about business operations, especially in capital- and energy-intensive sectors; excellent communication and influencing skills to work cross-functionally with technical, operational, and finance teams; resilience under ambiguity and high pressure, with creativity in solving complex problems.
  • Preferred: Experience in blockchain, cryptocurrency, data centers, semiconductors, or commodities industries. Prior exposure to global operations (especially in Western or Central Asian markets) and an understanding of Web3 economics/DeFi is a plus. Passion for or personal engagement with crypto is highly desirable.
