Job Responsibilities

Data Management and Quality
•Ensure the availability, accuracy, consistency, and security of data across Mizuho Asia Pacific

Data Platforms
•Lead design, development, & deployment of regional enterprise data platform, a key dependency for successful execution of Mizuho's core banking modernization program

•Drive adoption of cloud-based and hybrid solutions to ensure scalability and flexibility.

•Ensure seamless integration of the data platform with new core banking platforms being implemented, advanced analytics platforms, as well as head office data platforms.

Data Analytics
•Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, AI/ML models, and business intelligence tools to enable data-driven decision-making.

•Identify and prioritize opportunities to monetize data assets and deliver value through insights and innovations.

•Drive adoption of emerging technologies across the data technology stack at Mizuho

Risk and Regulatory Compliance
•Ensure the region's data management practices adhere to all global and country specific regulatory requirements, including data privacy and cybersecurity mandates.

•Establish and operationalise robust data risk management practices and controls to safeguard customer and business data.

Stakeholder Collaboration
•Partner with regional and country technology and business teams across functions to help them leverage and scale the adoption of data and analytics capabilities and make it a strategic enabler and growth driver for Mizuho

•Continuously engage with Head Office data teams to ensure the regional data initiatives are designed and executive in line with Head Office strategy, policies etc

• Represent Mizuho in external forums/industry events

Leadership and Culture
•Lead by example on the delivery and development of strong people management practices in line with Mizuho standards, including performance management, talent management and retention, learning and development & building a succession pipeline for key roles within remit

• Promote data literacy across the organization and enable staff across all levels and functions to leverage data effectively.

Job Requirements

•Strong expertise and experience indata governance, delivering enterprise data platforms and advanced analyticsplatforms for banks and ideally operating in a regional/global capacity in amulti country model

•Deep understanding of regulatoryframeworks governing data in the Asia Pacific region

•Strong proficiency in modern datatechnologies such as cloud architecture patterns, data platforms, and AI/MLplatforms.

•Strategic thinking with a hands-onapproach to problem-solving

•Strong leadership, communication,and stakeholder management skills

•Proven experience in enablingtransformation to a data and insights driven organization and enabling businessto leverage data to drive business growth

•Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience/Information Technology/Engineering/Data Science or a related field(Master's preferred).

•20+ years of relevant experience
