We're seeking a seasoned SEO leader who can combine deep technical expertise with strategic foresight to elevate SEO performance for complex, high-value campaigns. In this role, you'll shape the direction of SEO strategies, tackle advanced technical challenges, and build scalable frameworks that keep our clients ahead in an ever-changing search landscape.

What You'll Do

Strategic SEO Leadership

  • Act as OOm's chief SEO problem-solver, setting the technical and strategic direction for complex campaigns.
  • Lead advanced technical audits to uncover opportunities in crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript rendering, and canonicalisation.
  • Champion emerging SEO trends (AI in search, Google's AI Overviews, SGE, zero-click SERPs).
  • Design scalable frameworks for migrations, domain consolidations, multi-location SEO, and international SEO.

Technical & Platform Expertise

  • Work across WordPress, Shopify, Magento, Webflow, and custom CMS environments.
  • Provide developer-ready SEO recommendations in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • (Bonus) Use Python or automation scripts to streamline crawl analysis, data extraction, and reporting.

SEO Diagnostics & Excellence

  • Investigate performance anomalies with a forensic, data-driven approach.
  • Use tools like GSC, GA4, and Screaming Frog to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Partner with Account Managers to troubleshoot escalations and deliver clear, data-backed solutions.

Team Mentorship

  • Collaborate with the SEO Specialist Team Lead to deliver advanced technical SEO training.
  • Mentor specialists in structured diagnostics, hypothesis-driven testing, and technical problem-solving.
  • Build playbooks, documentation, and QA protocols to raise the team's technical standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Translate complex SEO findings into simple, actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
  • Work closely with content, design, and development teams to embed SEO best practices across touchpoints.
  • Support sales with technical expertise during pitches and consultations.

Tools & Reporting

  • Leverage tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, GA4, and log file analysers.
  • Build dashboards and reports to visualise performance, diagnose issues, and forecast growth.
  • Stay on top of industry tool updates and recommend new integrations.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with strong technical expertise, ideally in an agency.
  • Proven track record of solving complex SEO challenges with measurable results.
  • Proficiency in SEO tool stacks: Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4, Ahrefs/SEMrush, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical insights with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical, innovative, and solutions-focused mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, BigQuery, or SEO automation.
  • Background in CRO, UX, or data engineering.
  • Familiarity with multi-regional SEO, structured data markup, and eCommerce SEO.
