About the role
Jade Commercial Services is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at our bakery located in the Changi Airport East Region. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a wide range of delicious baked goods, pastries and desserts to delight our customers. This is a full-time position based in our on-site bakery.
What you'll be doing
- Producing high-quality pastries, breads, cakes and other baked goods to our exacting standards
- Preparing ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, and operating baking equipment to deliver consistent results
- Decorating baked goods with icings, glazes, garnishes and other finishing touches
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene practices
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of all menu items
- Continually exploring new recipes and techniques to expand our product offerings
- Providing guidance and training to junior team members
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar baking role
- Formal qualification in Baking, Patisserie or Culinary Arts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques, food safety regulations and ingredient compatibility
- Creativity and flair for developing new and innovative pastry creations
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
