What the role is

This role reports to Deputy Director, Electronics, Machinery & Consumer in the Trade division.

What you will be working on

  • You would be part of the Electronics, Machinery & Consumer team and be in charge of a portfolio of both local and foreign companies from segments such as food, consumer products, building and industrial materials.
  • You are expected to actively engage and attract companies from the sector to base and grow their trading and innovation capabilities in Singapore.
  • In addition, you would be expected to work closely with trade associations from the sector, attend relevant industry trade shows and conferences, and establish sector insights which could then be used to develop ecosystem initiatives. Such ecosystem initiatives could include working with internal and external stakeholders to support the digitalisation or talent development of the sector.

What we are looking for

  • You should have a background in business or management, preferably with at least 3 years of working experience in international business, with an interest to contribute to the public service.
  • Knowledge of, or prior experience in the food, industrial or trading sector would be considered favourably.
