A PR Intern typically plays a crucial role in supporting the Public Relations (PR) team and gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of communication and media relations. The specific duties may vary depending on the organization, but here are common roles and responsibilities for a PR Intern entails:

  • Media Monitoring: Monitor and track media coverage related to the organization.

Compile media reports and analyze media trends relevant to the industry.

  • Content Creation: Assist in drafting press releases, articles, and other communication materials.

Contribute to the creation and editing of content for various communication channels.

  • Social Media Management: Support the management of social media accounts, including content scheduling and engagement.

Monitor social media platforms for trends and relevant discussions.

  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of PR events and press briefings. Support logistics for events, including invitations to the press, venue coordination, and other logistic management.

  • Relationship Building: Help establish and maintain relationships with media contacts and influencers

Assist in responding to media inquiries and requests for information.
