About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional specializing in international fund structures, cross-border capital flows, and regulatory compliance to provide sophisticated wealth management solutions for high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and family offices. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of legal, tax, and financial expertise to design and optimize fund architectures while ensuring compliance, tax efficiency, and asset protection across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Structure Design & Optimization

  • Establish and maintain optimal holding structures (trusts, offshore companies, foundations, etc.) for HNW clients
  • Review and restructure existing fund vehicles (BVI companies, Cayman trusts, family foundations)
  • Provide strategic advice on wealth succession planning, asset segregation, and tax optimization

Cross-Border Capital Flow Management

  • Design compliant and tax-efficient fund flow pathways (dividends, investments, intercompany transactions)
  • Ensure adherence to CRS, FATCA, BEPS, and local regulations (e.g., SAFE, QFII)
  • Coordinate with banks, tax authorities, and legal teams to resolve operational challenges

Legal Documentation & Compliance

  • Review legal documents (trust deeds, shareholder agreements, LPAs) in Chinese/English
  • (For Legal Counsel) Provide legal opinions on entity governance and cross-border contracts
  • Manage compliance filings and coordinate with external advisors (tax, audit, banking)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years in private wealth management, international tax advisory, or offshore legal practice
  • Deep expertise in CRS/FATCA compliance and cross-border fund flows
  • Proven track record in managing HNW client relationships
  • Experience with digital assets, ESG investing, or other emerging asset classes
  • Background in law firms, advisory firms, or family offices
