Our client is seeking a Purchase Assistant (Woodlands) to join their team

Other Information:
  • Working Day: 5.5 days (Alternate Saturday half day)
  • Working Hour: 8:30am-5:30pm // 8:30am-1:30pm
  • Working Location: Woodlands Industrial Park E5 (Woodlands North MRT)
  • Salary: Range: $2,500-$2,800
What you'll be doing?
  • Manage purchasing cycle: Manage purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation, PO follow up, goods receipt status and supplier billing.
  • Supplier liaison: Collaborate with suppliers and forwarders to manage on-time deliveries and maintain up-to-date arrival schedules.
  • Supplier management: Identify and nurture supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and ensuring compliance with standards and performance metrics.
  • Inventory control: Take charge of inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Policy enforcement: Follow and uphold the company's procurement policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
  • Adaptability: Assist with various ad hoc duties as assigned by your superior, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational background: Candidates with a Professional Certification, NITEC, or Diploma in Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Industry experience: Minimum 1-2 years of procurement experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, with knowledge of ERP software like NAVISION being an advantage.
